well.. Obama wants health-care in the US to be like auto-insurance, compulsory, and a punishment on refusals to comply. Only problem is, when you can't afford to put gas in your car, yous top driving it. When you can't afford Obamacare you can't stop driving your body; and I think this is where Obama's comparison quickly comes to a shattering and breach of the human right to opt out. I think peoples problem nowadays is they either don't know what their rights are, don't exercise them, don't know how to, don't care, or just want to be governed, whether it be bad or not - providing it is not added to their list of growing problems, all will be OK. It's my opinion living in the UK things aren't all about to get better, there are millions of unemployed now, and as these problems get worse if people around the world think ignoring these problems are going to help them find time to deal with their personal problems, they may be sorely mistaken.
We forgot to account for the fact that the things we ignore are often the greatest problems of all.
“What I think is appropriate is that in the same way that everybody has to get auto insurance and if you don't, you're subject to some penalty, that in this situation, if you have the ability to buy insurance, it's affordable and you choose not to do so, forcing you and me and everybody else to subsidize you, you know, there's a thousand dollar hidden tax that families all across America are -- are burdened by because of the fact that people don't have health insurance, you know, there's nothing wrong with a penalty.”
