A Quick Inspection of the Stone Henge Mystery

Here we have a picture of Stonehenge among the fields.

What does everyone think? See anything special. I do ;-) I don't have time to write an article, but I will.

One thing I will say for the benefit of researchers out there, is those fields are quite unique, and aren't found anywhere else surrounding the whole site.

Fields. Thanks AG Frog, I wouldn't have come up with it without ya! This guy has some ideas i can tell ya.

On my right we have some rock drawings. The rock art figures show several circular and linear configurations. I already am becoming sure of what they mean, at least, I don't think, like some others it's depictions of them building them. Definitely an instruction manual though.

A clue: I'm going to ask the English Heritage Trust who, and how they upkeep the lawn there around this great monument of precision compared to current engineering.

When I was young my parents often took us to Stonehenge. We would stop there on our way down to Devon for a holiday. We used to have a picnic in among the stones.

Of course that was in the days before 'English Heritage' stole Stonehenge from the people of England and put a fence around it.


Some books I recommend. I have included ISBN numbers where possible.

Stonehenge by Bernard Cornwell. A story of neolithic times, about the builders of, and set among, the neolithic sites of Salisbury Plain. Extremely well researched. Well worth a read (Cornwell wrote the Sharpe series of books).

As an example, did you know Stonehenge's stones are not in their original positions? The Victorians 'rebuilt' the henge. Some of the stones are set in concrete bases.

I had no idea that the site had been corrupted that badly, i.e. resetting stones in cement, by the meddling Victorians, they of course probably were not the first, and this was not the last monument they screwed about with.

Perfect works of art of priceless historical , scientific , sociological and artistic value always seem to be the first thing broken. Nobody cares about the things that are already broken, which is quite literally counter productive.

Literally.
