UK Police forces preparing to use military spec surveillance drones.

CCTV in the sky: police plan to use military-style spy drones | UK news | The Guardian

"Police in the UK are planning to use unmanned spy drones, controversially deployed in Afghanistan, for the "routine" monitoring of antisocial motorists, protesters, agricultural thieves and fly-tippers, in a significant expansion of covert state surveillance.

The arms manufacturer BAE Systems, which produces a range of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) for war zones, is adapting the military-style planes for a consortium of government agencies led by Kent police.

nice find agent X - most notably for me, when I spent the summer solstice at Stonehenge I noticed these exact same drones in operation, to 'control' the crowd.
Although the police played fairly hands off, probably more due to the fact that an army of 40,000 hippies were present, there was still a slight in-trepidation of the surrounding force of white and blues - checkpoints, sniffer dogs and a somewhat checkpoint charlie approach to some more misbehaving attitudes.

I felt though, it was a compromise, for the hippies at least - whom which - didn't feel it was important to excercise true freedom of movement and enjoyment.

    And that I really mean!

The drones you saw are the old ones that fly at about 50 or so metres. The ones in the report are mil-spec jobbies that fly at 20,000 feet, so you don't see them.

Crikey X, then I stand corrected - I should have read the full article! There is many different type of drone in use. This is something I have only just recently begun to look into (don't know if you saw my warfare/howto: blow stuff up thread) - but has a lot of technology in there, so feel free to post if you come across any more info or footage of these drones.

It begs for the writing of an article I think.

It does make me wonder if recent UFO sightings were these drones undergoing testing.

I have to admit Agent X, that's a very probable hypothesis, doesn't mean occams razor rules though hehe..

Damn I hate occams razor, the only thing worse than the assumption your explaining, is using an assumptive hypothesis to explain it.

That said, in this case, you may indeed be quite right.. has anyone seen any of the recent UFO footage? These red balls.. apparently this is not a modern thing, these have been seen in the sky for thousands of years. It's definitely not ball lightning for at least half of the cases I would say.
