& Israel to refute war crimes charges

Israel is likely this week to refute a United Nations report accusing it of having committed war crimes in Gaza.

The New York Times has said Israel will list what it will refer to as the essential flaws and biases against Israel.

The Israeli explanations against assertions made in the Goldstone Report will include the reason behind the offensive in the Gaza Strip and the difficulties in fighting against a terror organisation that operates inside civilian homes, schools, hospitals and UN facilities.

The New York Times reported on Saturday that one of the specific areas of rebuttal would be photographic evidence that supposedly contradicts the Goldstone report on allegations that a flour mill was hit by an Israeli airstrike.

Israeli investigators have said they will prove the mill was accidentally hit by artillery during the course of a fire-fight with Hamas militiamen.
Has anyone considered that because a terrorist organisation appears to be operating within civilian homes, that these so called terrorists are civilians who are sick and tired of oppression??

No , of course they didn't think of that. Probably, because Israel forgot that they only just stole the land from Palestine historically recently; or worse, they didn't forget and they know exactly why they are being oppressive, and that's because they know how angry these civilians really are - and what they are prepared to do to save their children and their homes.

Muslim or Jihadist extremism aside, I think that a lot of these so called terrorists are trying to protect their homeland, I would add, no different to the war crimes Israel commits, and indeed, the UK and US army does in Iraq.

Because, afterall, the Iraq war is illegal, and that has been represented in Holland, and England so far, and proven. Justification was what allowed the UK to enter the war, and now the justification has turned out incorrect, the war could still very much be considered illegal.

That means, you can't make up a load of crap to justify dropping bombs on people, do it, and when you get found to be lying, with or without knowledge, you must take the same _responsibility_ of office you took when bringing the whole country to war. i.e. not supress evidence of Dr Kelly being murdered by highly trained special forces teams.. for 70 years under a black cover in order to "bypass" the carriage of justice to governmental war criminals.
