When a covert operation goes bad, and guilt and worry gets the better of you, why not just play Mr. honest.WALLER COUNTY, Texas -- Houston police started testing unmanned aircraft and the event was shrouded in secrecy, but it was captured on tape by Local 2 Investigates.
"I wasn't ready to publicize this," Executive Assistant Police Chief Martha Montalvo said. She and other department leaders hastily organized a news conference when they realized Local 2 Investigates had captured the entire event on camera.
"We still haven't even decided how we were going to go forward on this task, so it seemed premature to me to announce this to the media," Montalvo said. "But since, obviously, the media found out about it, then I don't see any reason why just not go forward with what we have so far."
Montalvo told reporters the unmanned aircraft would be used for "mobility" or traffic issues, evacuations during storms, homeland security, search and rescue, and also "tactical."
The organised network of central spy-drone control begins, in a halflife 2, Orwellian style faceoff; and when they are caught in the act, hastily calling a news conference, that couldn't possibly be a guilty conscience?
I am waving to the magna carta, It seems like it was gone, long ago.. but perhaps now we know for sure, and that they would prefer to keep 'security' and 'tactical' a secret . Yes, byebye magna carta we guess. All in the name of security, freedom and protection. I wonder how long it will be until people are being charged with so called crimes, without suspicion, without warrant, and without basis in law, at the very least, the previous ones!! Fight the future, perhaps isn't just a fancy buzz word.
