A retired U.S. General has called for strip searches of all muslim men at airports and “threat-based” profiling, declaring that “in the next 30-100 days,” there is “very high probability a US airliner will come down.”

“We have got to go to very, very strict screening and we’ve got to use profiling. And I mean, be very, very serious about the profiling. If you are an 18-28-year-old Muslim man, then you should be strip searched. If we don’t do that, there’s a very high probability that we’re gonna lose an airliner.”

OK, maybe that was harsh.
But,come on man. If you can't tell if a guy has a bomb with all the tech and intel available today then there is a problem.
Does anyone really hide that kinda stuff in their bum and walk cool enough to make it on the plane?

No, really, I couldn't agree more. When a man talks in imperatives only - I start to yawn. Because I realize, someone smart enough would have given up with such imaginative nonsense, long LONG ago.

It's strange that the shoe on the other foot would point a gaping finger at me and frog, for having an open expansive mind to see that we are not dealing with imperatives at all. Ironic - when the General himself is a man of strategy.

Perhaps he still plays that game, even in retirement, and well, I might add.

I honestly find it difficult to watch too.. these people are almost inhabiting a different version of reality.

PS: racism is an extremely dangerous weapon to deploy. The term 'agressive profiling' essentially means "lets stop all people who look black/muslim" - thats politically incorrect to say - but to me, political correctness is the subtlety of hidden truth .

Also strong ? Yes, Also harsh? Yes. We are no harsher than a general declaring war on an entire race - and then blaming them for 'not participating' in invasive strip searches!! Amazing.. it would be funny if morals and people were not broke in the process though, perhaps ;D
