washingtonpost.comAccording to The Washington Post, currently 25 states have been forced to borrow USD 25 billion from the federal government to keep their unemployed a float.
The Department of Labor estimates that by 2011 some 40 states will have run out of employment money and will be in need of borrowing USD 90 billion from the federal government.

Some thoughts about Sociopolitical values and the banking crisis:
Not surprisingly, the money that went bailing out the fucked banking system should have been given to the people, and the bankers should have been fucked like they placed themselves, and indeed, deserved to be.
But apparently, the banking system is good, and doesn't promote arrogance, ignorance and all the worst things about mankind at all. That is why, in the 21st century, less people are starving more than any other time, people live longer and get less chronic diseases, and money makes people all happy.
oh... oh, wait a minute... the 21st century is bullshit;-) And in fairness - if the system of money was abolished the money wouldn't need to be given to the bank or to people in state unemployment benefits. Because the system would have been deprecated.
Might sound insane, but if you actually look at the national debt over the last century. You will start to realise, it's never going to be payed off - its about cutting the line, that's freedom, freedom from an unrepayable debt.
And we all know what its like when the bank charges unrepairable interest, just imagine, this is whole countries around the world instead of people - and perhaps the only cure could be bankrupcy.
Certain people know that we think, and they are making certain arrangements before hyper-inflation. Keep waiting, those U.S T-Bill's arent gonna be going anywhere in a hurry.
Our reliance on the modular, super economy gives us many great luxuries and insights. It would be a shame that the cost of insights would be arrogance, ignorance, and a self imposed deceit that 'everything is okay' - in many respects this is not a viable system, we should be concentrating how to do things for ourselves AS WELL. A one way society is going only one way. I put forward the notion a dualistic society is something thats missing from the monotheistic principles of modern democracy science politics and religious spirituality.
But then again, this was just candy floss to try get us ALL to think about it that little bit more. Because if we all did that, we might needn't have to all worry/ignore the problem hoping it gets better ! because it wouldnt have existed in the first place
I put forward a secondary notion that the old causal linear way of thinking, in sociopolitics, is far more deprecated now than the system of money could ever have been, or ever will. Perhaps the root of the problem of money, is at the root of people, in sociopolitics. that'd be a logical and rationalist approach, if the former conjectural notion was indeed proven to be correct.
The real question is, if you were rich enough to be able to afford not to care, do you really think you would?? How long do you think it would be until it slips your mind?
How often do you think those who have barely enough money to eat in civilised countries such as england, and america, or even keep their own roof?? How often do you think these people think about that issue? Who do you think has thought it out better? Neither, because the intelligent are wealthy and careless industrialists seeking a status quo, and the poor intelligent lack the resources to do it with.
Perhaps class is creating some of these problems all by itself?
Perhaps but that is quite enough candy, for today.
