    Fiat Money

Money has NO value as many of us know. It cannot lose or gain value. It represents the value of someones labour which CAN lose value. Commodities have usually retained their value as compared to other commodities. (natural fluctuations excluded) We all have to work harder or longer or both these days to maintain a certain standard of living. Where has the value of our labour gone? Could it be the abundance of lobour due to the increasing population? Could it be the lack of education and training and just plane dumbing down of society ACTUALLY making our labour less valuable? I'm not sure. The one thing I do know is that I spend less of my valuable labour GROWING my own food than to work for a wage and purchase (qestionable) food elsewhere.

I could not have said it better.
