Hello there.
Does anyone share in my theory that aliens are the gods in ancient mythology?

There are many books on the subject, Zechariah Sitchen is my favourite author that has written extensivly on the subject.

Many believe that the gods in the ancient Sumerian writings were aliens. These are also the oldest writings in history and most scholars agree that they are the root of most religions including Christianity, Judaism, and Islam. Many of the scriptures in the OT bible can be traced back to the Sumerian texts that told of the same story, first.

There is the primitive tribe in Africa called the Dogon that have advanced knowledge of the solar system. They have known for many years how many moons Jupiter had and about the rings of Saturn. They have knowledge of the Sirius B and C stars before science knew of them. "The Sirius Mystery" is book written about this. When it was originally printed in the 70's Sirius C had not yet been discovered by science. It was discovered in the 90's and that more or less proves the Dogon correct. How did they know this? They insist that thousands of years ago men cam from the Orion galaxy and taught their ancestors.

I am glad to see some other open minded individuals with opinions instead of the usual response from people that just want to shoot down theories because they have no knowledge of them and they don't agree with what they have always believed or been told but don't have the initiative to actually go out and research it and then make up their mind.

nice to meet you all.

Hey Vekzen, welcome to the forum! Great first post, the Dogon stones are pretty much one of my favorite topics on par with the Annuna Ki Sumerian in the Sumerian tablets and Hebrew texts. Although I believe in something else beyond us all (and i think there is some fringe evidence to suggest so do aliens, if they existed), I certainly believe that many of the ancient religions are based on value system, could these value systems be cultures? Intrinsically, I think so absolutely, could it be these anciently powerful systems of 'divination' or universal truths (such as the book of Thoth) (aka tarot) are actually from an alien culture of science, and the infallibility of man has allowed himself to justify and re-justify.

Well, that's what happened, at least the justify and re-justifying bit *smiles*

Definitely an interesting first post, good stuff, almost tempted to move these to ancient civilizations forum section lol :)

Welcome to the site! I think you are definitely onto something. Skeptics still have a hard time coming to terms with the sudden explosion in human intelligence. Indications point to some possible hand holding if you ask me :)

Welcome Vekzen. I have thought that the ancient 'gods' were based on alien, of some kind, visitations since I was a child in the 1970s. Regarding the ancient Sumerian being the oldest writing... I would qualify that as by saying Sumerian is one of the oldest known writings.

I have a theory, it is a bit circular so bear with me.

You see our current level of civilisation (for want of a better word) has taken some five or six thousand years to develop (that we know for certain). But modern humans, homo-sapiens, have been around for a lot longer than that, anything up to between 100,000 and 200,000 years.

So it is entirely possible that humans have had advanced civilisations many times over in the past that have faded, or been wiped out, and all trace of them has now disappeared. As an example, if there was a global catastrophe tomorrow which wiped out 99% of humanity, in ten thousand years from now the only remaining trace of our current civilisation would be Mount Rushmore. Which future archaeologists would wonder at as we wonder at the Sphinx.

Part of this theory is that if in the distant past there was an advanced human civilisation, what is to say they had not advanced far enough to have space travel? After all, we have it, all be it rudimentary and very much in it's infancy. Now, supposing that ancient human civilisation was facing a global catastrophe. Would they not try to evacuate the planet? Perhaps settling elsewhere in the solar system while they waited to return. Suppose they didn't return for some reason.

Is it possible that what we perceive as 'alien' UFOs are in fact our ancient ancestors returning to see what is happening here now? Are 'aliens' really aliens? They could be us. Maybe they have been returning throughout history and guiding our return to an advanced level of civilisation?

Just a thought I have now and then!

Ps. What is to say the dinosaurs did not evolve a saurian-sapiens? Maybe they are returning? A lot can happen in the hundreds of millions of years this planet has harboured life. ;)

and then just think about the universe .. and what can happen over billions ;)

If only we could search space properly..
